Original East German book from 1989.  This book was issued in different editions and with different photos and illustrations every couple of years and it was given to every single east german army recruit on the first day of their army service in order to help them better understand who and what they were serving in the army for.  The book contains a good number of superb photographs and in text illustrations. This particular edition is the very last edition that was published and issued before the collapse of the DDR.  The book is hardback and has a total of 87 numbered pages + photo pages. It measures 7 3/4” x 5”. Unpacked weight of the book is 0.2kg. Used condition.
