 Product Description

Used condition. A named jacket to a British Army Lieutenant in the Royal Berkshire Regiment that was killed in action in or near Neuve Chapelle in France on 10th March 1915. You can see some information about the man here https://astreetnearyou.org/person/598151/Lieutenant-Alfred-Hewgill-Saunders?fbclid=IwAR3QuL4Hlbgqx78rXuMZKUT2B_0z7WEZYNZCm4ntjQJo2HJ3ZOgZPNE9OcU. The last sample pics shows his medals record. The bottom two buttons in each side are missing, there is a moth nip on the collar and the shoulder boards are part lose. Some surface dirt in places. Since the man was a full Lt when being deployed to France then I would think this to be a pre-WW1 made and issued jacket. Very scarce and with interesting and researchable history of the original owner.

Unpacked weight is 0.76kg.
