- Entered service in 1894 as a 3 years volunteer
- called up for war service in August 1915
- served at the Navy Bekleidungsamt uniform depot in Wilhelmshaven
- promoted to Unteroffizier in February 1918
- promoted again in April 1918, but not sure about the rank
- discharge in late November 1918
