Original East German 2-volume set about the history of the East German Police, the DVP or Deutsche Volkspolizei from 1945 to 1975.  Volume One deals with the history from 1945 to 1961 and volume Two deals with 1961 to 1975.  The books contain many hundreds of photographs about the East German Police, its uniforms and its equipment and about special events in the history of this police force.  The books are printed with ‘Nur fuer den Dienstgebrauch’ (For official use only) and they were not available for sale to the general public.  The books are hardback and come with their original dust jackets.  Volume One has 368 numbered pages and volume Two has 360 numbered pages.  They measure 9 1/4” x 6 3/4”.  The set weighs 1.75kg.  Volume 1 was published in 1979 and volume 2 was published in 1983. Light wear to the dust jackets.
